The Troop Committee generally meets on the last Monday of each month, at 7:30pm.
Our Troop Committee is responsible for conducting the business of the troop, setting policy, and helping the Scoutmaster and Scouts with the outdoor program and other planned activities. The Committee also has the responsibility to provide adults for Boards of Review. This is an important responsibility and is one area where help is always needed and appreciated.
The Committee consists of parent volunteers who fulfill various roles on the committee. Any family member is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Scoutmaster – Scott Calzia
Assistant Scoutmaster – Donna Johns
Assistant Scoutmaster – Ray Mar
Assistant Scoutmaster – Donald Clark
Assistant Scoutmaster – Phil Davis
The Scoutmaster is responsible for training and guiding youth leaders in the operation of the troop, and for managing, training, and supporting their assistant Scoutmasters.
Scouting is a youth-led program; Troop 260 strongly follows this model. Our scouts set the activities agenda, plan the evenings and events. Adult leaders are there to ensure Troop activities are conduct in line with the Guide to Safe Scouting, and with the Aims and Methods of Scouting.
